Melanie Manuel – Not only the owner and chef at Milwaukee’s all-vegan Celesta restaurant, Melanie offers her thoughts on vegan cooking, as well as other offerings and services. Bunny’s Bite – You can find Madeline’s delicious gluten-free and vegan desserts at a number of locations around town, but she also maintains a blog with great recipes! VegGuide.org and HappyCow.net – Use these sites to find vegan eats wherever you travel. Great info about menus and reviews. Happy Cow has an app for iphone and android that I can’t live without when I’m traveling. Vegan River Cruises – Luxury all-vegan European river cruises. What a great way to see that part of the world! Veg Voyages – Go on an adventure to India, Thailand, Laos or other destinations. VegNews sponsors a few yearly trips through them as well. If you want to travel to exotic locations, it would be a great way to go without worrying about food! Vegan Jaunts & Journeys – Got a trip in mind but worried about making it vegan-friendly? This vegan travel agent can create custom trips for you and they also offer their own guided vacations! The Healthy Voyager – A great network of sites with information on vegan traveling. Barnivore – Search their list of beer, wine and liquor to see if it’s vegan-friendly. Another resource I use ALL the time. Vegan Mentor Program – Get connected via email with a volunteer mentor who will help you with anything from navigating the grocery store aisles to figuring out how to respond when people ask you questions. African American Vegan Starter Guide – With contributions with members of our local community and brought to you by Tracye McQuirter, MPH, public health nutritionist, 30-year vegan and national best-selling author of By Any Greens Necessary, in partnership with Farm Sanctuary. This is a great guide to help you get started with veganism! Vegetarian Resource Group – A national group that does outreach, puts out a magazine, and provides recipes and other information for going vegan. VegNews Magazine – A great magazine focused mainly on vegan stories, recipes, information, and more. They also have a very useful website with all kinds of news and recipes updated on a regular basis. Other Vegan Magazines – There are lots of other fantastic vegan magazines in print and online.
